Living the Journey
‘Life is an adventure, dare it.’ Mother Teresa
‘Blessed’ is almost not enough to describe how I feel about the opportunities to visit the many places and cultures I have been privileged to experience in the past fifty years. My first experience of overseas travel was as a teenager on a school trip to Switzerland in about 1962. We stayed awake all night peering out of the train windows at every station we stopped at….and since then I have enjoyed almost 50 countries, many of which – along with their people and cultures – are described in these posts. The links on this page are to the most recent trips, others going back as far as 2010 and covering Australia and New Zealand, South America and Antarctica, Africa and the USA as well as Thailand and other places in Asia start here. The most recent posts before Iceland can be found here.
The COVID years are reflected, too and it will be interesting to see if, by the end of 2022 we are beginning to feel that overseas travel is ‘normal’ again or if we still experience some hesitation in planning…
Not all those who wander are lost.
